| | Over the recent years, I started to take a more serious interest into British rock band Coldplay's music. I have a copy of A Rush Of Blood To The Head, stood up and noticed them more on X & Y and concluded that Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends is my favourite Coldplay album now, taking over from A Rush Of Blood To The Head. I having been telling myself and my friends that I really wanted to see Coldplay live.
Lately, that seemed like a possibility, as rumoured start going around (no thanks to the local Sunburst Music Festival) that Coldplay may be dropping by. This then sparked my quest to confirm this, visiting Coldplay's official site and the fansite Coldplaying. The 2nd leg of Viva La Vida tour was kicking off soon, and they were scheduled to be in Autralia around the early weeks of March. It looked like there was a possibility of them stopping by.
Then, thanks to the wonders Facebook groups, and the Coldplay page on Facebook in particular, I got the news that Coldplay will be live in Singapore. I think at this point, I knew Coldplay live in Kuala Lumpur was never going to happen. It just does not seem like a logical logistic move. No Coldplay live in Bangkok, nor Coldplay live in Jakarta, so most definately no Coldplay live in KL. I really did not have to think about it very long. I was going to follow through to my claims and I had to go for Coldplay live in Singapore.
Which brings me to today. The day when Sistic starts to sell tickets to Coldplay's concert in Singapore. Days prior I had tried to rally the troops into going for it, but alas I have not leveled up enough to be able to effectively rally. Regardless, my mind was set on going, company or not. Seeing that company policy restricts Internet access, and in place where it is available - blocked sites and slow access, I had no choice but to take half the day off to see these plans through.
Tickets were going at S$248, S$188, S$158 and S$88. Within a few hours after tickets sales officially went online, S$88 and S$158 where sold out. With no company to factor into my decision making, I had my mind set on S$188 and these looked rather safe for the moment. Within a few clicks it was finished. Later back at the office, threw in another 2 days of leave for the upcoming dates. Coldplay live was set in motion.
